selegnairam A raw work, with a forceful approach. However, full of details. Lethave Plank takes the sound to the extreme in a brave and merciless production with your loudspeakers. Favorite track: Movement XII.

about

With this first volume of the Anatomía del ruido I begin a series of works marked by a special approach between the arts of composition and sound editing. Instead of starting from harmonic, melodic or rhythmic rules and laws as the origin and basis of the work, I have opted for a musical objective based on the physical properties of timbre. Thus, each of the phenomena that appears and disappears –or is simply not there, even if it seems the opposite– is electronically generated or modified to fit in a certain place.

For this reason, I have also followed a conventional model to shape the score, that is to say, using programmes that allow me to control the result with absolute guarantee. However, despite the superficial sensation of –intended– imprecision, there is a premeditation in each of the phrases or musical brushstrokes.

■ Equipment used: Miller Puckette PureData, Mathworks Mathlab, Emagic Logic Audio, Yamaha VL-1, Yamaha FS1r.
